Hi, I’m Robert

I am the therapist behind Nurturing Minds Counselling.

As a mature neurodivergent practitioner, I bring a distinctive perspective to counselling, informed by personal experience and a broad professional background. My initial career was rooted in scientific fields, emphasising problem-solving, solutions, and practicality, eventually leading to a role as a Lecturer before I retrained as a therapist.

I hold a Level 5 Dip HE Counselling qualification from Middlesex University, studied at Waverley Abbey College.

I have worked for the Olive Branch Counselling agency, focusing on supporting clients with a wide variety of issues.

I offer counselling in Chippenham and Bristol as well as remote sessions.

My Approach

I offer an empathic, integrative approach to counselling. This means I draw on skills and techniques from more than one counselling theory, tailoring sessions to your individual needs.

Together, we can explore how your past experiences and relationships shape and influence your present self-perception, as well as how you view your relationships with others. Alongside this, I aim to provide practical tools and insights that can help you create meaningful and positive changes.

Ultimately, I am guided by you and respect your decisions on what to bring to each session. My commitment is to offer an open, genuine counselling relationship, where you feel safe, heard, and understood, to foster self-respect.
